DIVAS recognize we have lost two generations of hunting and shooting in the USA. We took a stand in 1999 upon the organizing the DIVAS NOT to allow this decline to continue...DIVAS promote and introduce women and youth worldwide to the outdoors through our clinics and adventures...we are making a difference! We have taught over 3,000 women and youth in the USA over the past ten years.

“So when I grew up, I decided to do all the things I had wanted to do, but had been told that they were not available to me. I didn't pick up a shotgun until age 29, and by age 36 I had a National Ladies title in sporting clays and was a seven time All American. Many organizations are mistaken in their focus solely on the kids as the future of shooting. Kids are great, and we all love to see them shoot. But young men and women may or may not come back to shooting on their own. We all remember what it was like
in our twenties and life throwing at us our education, jobs, family, kids... life has a way of side tracking us. But if Mama shoots,
and Mama sees hunting and shooting as viable family QUALITY recreation, then there's a better chance of the kids coming back
as adults to shooting and hunting and our outdoor heritage continues. Women play a powerful role in defining the morality, the logistics and the values within the family. They not only hold the purse strings, but they have a huge say in what defines
quality family time and we're all about building lasting memories.
I didn't grow up shooting. My dad knew enough to teach the boys gun safety and took them shooting some, but it was deemed a male only interest. If I was lucky, they would let me shoot a few shots when they were done.”
