2009 SHOT Show A Success!
Six DIVAS from around the USA represented DIVA...Women Outdoors Worldwide formerly Texas Women's Shooting Sports at the SHOT Show in Orlando Jan 15-18. Representing DIVA: Judy Rhodes (Dallas), Cheryl Long (Fairview), Mari Juarez (Dallas), Mystii Nekuaz (Carrollton), Diana Wysocki (Alpine) and myself, Cynthia Desch (Washington, PA). FYI...We all pay our own way and this is strictly volunteer to promote our organization...or as we all call it...a labor of love for the sisterhood! There were many more DIVAS in attendance and we tried to visit with our sisters from all over the world...and for those that our paths did not cross...we were with you in spirit and hope you had a great show!
This was our tenth SHOT Show for our organization and we were welcomed with open arms from industry, media and friends from around the world! We were very successful with our goals and expectations. We developed new alliances and added new members to our ranks. Industry acknowledged that women are the future of the outdoors! I do not think anyone turned us down for donations of guns, products and great destinations! All items donated will go toward sponsorship dollars/ raised money during our clinics throughout the USA to keep our SISTERHOOD alive and well. Good work DIVAS!
