We leave this information up to serve as a reference for those going.


To qualify for this hunt you must have completed your Hunter’s Safety Course and send a copy of your certificate with your check. Please Site in rifles prior to arriving. We will also be required to sight in at the ranch prior to hunting to be sure all rifles traveled well.

Cost

  • Cost of Hunt: $150.00 ( food and lodging extra)
  • Required “Guide’s Tip” Per Huntress: $50.00
  • Field Dressing, Skinning & Quartering: $25.00 per harvest
  • Field Dressing Only: $10.00 per harvest
  • $0.00 charge for taking care of your own harvest

$75.00 per hunter secures your spot for this hunt and is non-refundable. Please make check payable to Angie Patak and mail to 216 Hilltop Drive, Ennis, Texas 75119. The post-mark of your envelope reserves your spot. Once I receive your deposit, I will forward the directions to you.

There is a walk-in cooler for your harvest until you are ready to leave the ranch on Sunday.

Meals and cooking will be further finalized later. We have the opportunity to do some cooking there at the ranch or eat out 100%.

Hunt Includes

Several whitetail doe (the number will be determined that Friday, but I have been guaranteed each gal will have the opportunity to harvest two each); guide services to transport hunters to and from the blinds; some hunts with be 1:1 and some will be 2:1. More experienced hunters will be allowed to hunt alone.

Ladies need to plan on arriving at the hotel and getting registered in plenty of time to be able to get out to the ranch by NOON on Friday, February 8th. We will then sign releases and sight in your rifle. The hunts will be held Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

Meals and Hotel

Hunters are responsible for their cost of lodging and meals during the hunt.

Reservations will be made at a hotel in San Angelo once I get a list of attendees.

Transportation

Hunters are responsible for their own transportation to the ranch.

General Information

Hunters will be hunting two different styles: (1) enclosed blinds at feeders or food plots; and/or (2) hunting from a hunting jeep safari-style.

Other expenses not covered by the cost of the hunt: ammunition and Texas license fees.

Firearms: Please ensure that your firearm conforms to the minimum requirements. Only centerfire rifles should be used. No caliber smaller than a 100-grain, .243 should be used for this hunt. All firearms must have functioning safeties and may not have release triggers. You must bring your own hearing and eye protection. All firearms will be inspected by the outfitters prior to the hunt. For safety reasons, hunters will not be permitted to use firearms which are not in compliance with the requirements mentioned above.

License Requirements: Both Texas residents and non-residents will be required to purchase a hunting license for the hunt. For more information on obtaining these licenses, call the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department at 800/895-4248. We are not required to use our tags, the ranch has the Managed Land Permits.

Field Etiquette: Hunter safety and field etiquette will be discussed during the hunter orientation on Friday afternoon. Along with following all of the critical safety procedures when in the field, please show respect to the owners and their property as well. Ensure that whatever you carry into the field, you carry out when you leave. Do not litter or do anything else to disturb the quality of the Ranch.
